“All good things come to an end”

Chris Stoneham has announced his intention to stand down at the conclusion of the season. There have been some special memories made for this club over the past few years and Chris has been as the heart of these.

His management style and his support to the other managers and teams at the club has been first class. At any football club the 1st team job is the toughest, there is a responsibility to carry the club forward and make sure the younger players are being given the opportunity to make the grade. I would like to thank Chris personally for the time and dedication he has given to the job and the way he has taken on the challenge. We currently have 5-6 young players as part of the squad and they are proving their worth every week.

His biggest achievement has to be the Essex County cup win which was part of a treble wining season, a season that put the club on the map. The club as a whole would like to wish Chris all the best in the future and say the huge thank you. You will always be welcome as a valued member. We would like to also thank Graham, Les, Andy , Trevor, Ken and Richard who have all been involved over the years as part of Chris team. The club have moved quickly and appointed a successor, the club are really happy with the appointment and we will be updating soon. Ben ⚽️
